Community Classes & Education*

Building a supportive community through education and support groups

Education

Come to a group education session or schedule a private education session to equip yourself with knowledge on subjects such as:

  • PCOS

  • Endometriosis/Adenomyosis

  • Painful periods

  • PMDD (menstrual mood disorders)

  • The menstrual cycle/fertility

  • Perimenopause and menopause

  • Chronic pain/CFS

  • Other subjects upon request

The first step toward feeling better and advocating for yourself is gathering knowledge. Knowing more helps you understand your conditions, how they impact you, and what treatment decisions are best for your life.

Pregnancy, childbirth, & Postpartum

Whether you are currently trying to conceive, newly pregnant, or in your third trimester, there is always more to learn! Pregnancy courses go into detail about the anatomy and physiology of pregnancy, body changes and symptoms by trimester, fetal development, and nutrition and exercise.

*Education sessions do not include medical advice. Seeking treatment or medical advice requires scheduling an appointment with me or following up with your current health provider.

Childbirth courses go in depth on the anatomy of the pelvis and pelvic floor, fetal positioning, labor physiology, physical and emotional coping and comfort measures, partner support, and other pain relief options based on birth setting.

Postpartum & Lactation courses take you through the first few hours following birth to several weeks postpartum, including physical symptoms, emotional/mood changes, healing from vaginal birth and c-section, bonding, lactation, nursing vs pumping, feeding issues, and breast care.

Newborn courses review physiological changes in the weeks leading up to labor and birth, newborn transition at birth, normal newborn behavior and function, feeding, sleeping, and growth.
