Labor & Birth

Labor and birth don't have to be scary. The key is preparation, and preparation starts at our very first prenatal visit. Understanding your body, the physiology of birth, and your options will give you the confidence and peace of mind to have a safe, fulfilling experience.

Postpartum & Lactation

The postpartum period is a tender time for most, and adequate support and education is essential to physical healing and emotional adjustment after birth. Frequent postpartum visits, check ins, and support around lactation and breastfeeding is included in homebirth services.

Newborn Care

Newborn assessment immediately after birth, and a full newborn exam are provided, as well as Vitamin K and newborn metabolic screening. Newborn checks, nursing assessment, and weighing is also provided during postpartum visits.

Homebirth Fees

The homebirth fee encompasses all prenatal visits, labor, birth, and postpartum and newborn care. It takes into account the average amount that insurances pay for birth services, as well as the personalized education, support, and relationship-based care that midwives provide--often lacking in modern maternity care.

While I do not contract with insurance, I can provide a superbill upon request if clients would like to request reimbursement from their insurance providers. Homebirth fees are often comparable or less to what you will typically pay out of pocket after insurance.

Discounts are given for full, up front payment, and flexible payment plans and sliding scales are available. Do not let worries about cost stop you from considering homebirth if it what you really want! Request a free meet & greet session to learn about your options.

Homebirth Package Fee: $5,000

Fee if paid in full up front: $4,700

Payment plans can be split into two payments over 9 months, 3 payments (quarterly), or monthly. Payment in full is required by 36 weeks.
